Our Scenic Rim cottages are surrounded by the rugged and majestic mountains of the region. With Wilson's Peak in the East, Mt Superbus to the North, and Cambanoora Gap in the West, the feeling is inspiring and the views are breathtaking. To quote one of Oaklea's guests, "there is a picture framed in every window".

Oaklea is a rural retreat, picturesque and peaceful. Cooler than the lowlands in summer due to the elevation, and seemingly much closer to the stars at night. Whoever would believe only two hours’ drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast you can spend time in this affordable retreat away from the hassle and bustle of the city life.

Accommodation

Guest Suite: Oaklea's family home has two guest bedrooms, your own living room, bath and entrance. Your privacy is ensured as the second bedroom will not be booked simultaneously unless your booking is for both rooms.

School Cottage: Spacious studio accommodation, ideal for a couple, but still large enough to accommodate up to four guests comfortably. The School Cottage has verandas at the front and back, this allows plenty of room for you to relax in comfort with a good book from our selection, or take in the views in the company of the cows in the surrounding paddocks.

Mill Cottage: Accommodates six or seven people comfortably in three bedrooms. Be transported back in time to your Grandmother's kitchen! The large central living room is comfortably furnished with ample seating and a wood fire for cooler nights. Enjoy a barbeque under cover or just relax and take in the country air.

Both cottages are self contained, with TV, VCR or DVD, CD player, fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, electric jug, fry pan etc, together with a good selection of books, magazines, DVD's or VCR tapes, and CD's.
